In accordance with the Foundation Voucher, The Annual Board of Trustees which takes place in March every year, was held at the Plaza Hotel- Jupiter Hall.

18th March 2014: On Tuesday, Ugur Batur, who is a member of the Board of our foundation, organised a dinner on behalf of TESYEV at Raika Restaurant and Bar. The income gained by the dinner was donated towards the needs of our disabled individuals.

24th March 2014: On Monday evening, the photograph exhibition named ‘Red Hooded Life’ launched its opening at Besiktas Art Gallery. The exhibition consisted of 91 photos which were taken by the famous film director and scenarist Cagan Irmak. Mr. Irmak was kind enough to donate to our foundation all the income he gained from the exhibition, which was open from the 24th of March to the 30th of March.

9th April 2014: A play named ‘Biz Kucukken Babamla Oyunlar Oynardık’ (We Used to Play Games with My Father When We Were Little), was performed by the Theatre Bosphorus. This event was performed within the concept of Terakki Schools Spring Festival. The income gained by the theatre was donated to our foundation with the support of Ali Kiremitcioglu who is a member of the Board of our foundation

30th April 2014: Dokuz Eylul University organized a presentation under the title “Discrimination Against Disabled Individuals: Problems and Possible Solutions”. In order to deliver their speeches, our foundation President A. Yavuz Kocaomer, and members of the Board of our Trustees Kerim & Selim Altınok brothers, who are both visually disabled, and Haktan Ozunver, who is a wheelchair basketball player, participated in the organization. In the presentation, which was realized with the support of our 10 disabled scholarship holders that studied and graduated in the universities in Izmir, subjects regarding disability and discrimination were discussed.

3rd May 2014: On Saturday, 9th Tesyev Scholar Meeting was held at the Green Park Hotel-Pendik. With the attendance of 400 disabled students who study at universities or high schools, Nedim Saban’s play named ‘Leyla’s House’ was performed. In addition, our President A. Yavuz Kocaomer, General Manager Berrin Altınoz and Board member Ali Evren Dogru attentively listened to the problems of our students and promised that they would try their best to solve the problems. In the first half of the meeting, Burcu Esmersoy and in the second half Umit Erdim joined the meeting and answered the scholarship holders’ questions.

21-25 May 2014: The 6th Dr. Trawinski International wheelchair Basketball Tournement was held at Atakoy Ahmet Comert Sports Hall with the attendance of 150 sportsmen from 6 different countries. In the 3-day competition, our national sportsmen came the first, USA the second and Spain the third.

31 May 2014: One of our foundation’s important supporters and the daughter of Rıza Engin Akıs, Elif Akıs has exhibited her Mosaic Art collection called ‘Colorful Stones 2 ‘. Elif Akıs donated her income from the Seher Sanat Gallery to our foundation.

10th June 2014: On Tuesday, our traditional spring meal was once again held at Sunset Grill&Bar, which is an exceptional restaurant famous for its remarkable view of Istanbul. Istanbul’s well-known names who have been dedicated to charity work also attended to the meal organized by TESYEV Board members Siren Ertan Carmıklı and Renee Saban, and TESYEV volunteers. After the meal, the participants donated money to our foundation.

20th September 2014: On Saturday, disabled children from our foundation who get scholarship and rehabilitation support, and their families were gathered together for a moral picnic at Tarabya Ted College Foundation. 350 people participated in the picnic, including disabled scholarship holders, children getting rehabilitation support and their families.

3rd-7th November 2014: Between these dates, our president A. Yavuz Kocaömer attended as a speaker to the workshop in Antalya, which was aimed to develop the project for children who need special education and family support. In the workshop, numerous questions such as “What is disability?”, “How can the families be followed up psychologically and socially?” and “How can education be provided?” were discussed.

Our Foundation continued to support policemen’s disabled children and disabled policemen in 2014 in accordance with the protocol signed on April 2013.

15th November 2014: On Saturday, our president A.Yavuz Kocaomer attended to a radio program about disability which was broadcasted on NTV Radio.

2nd December 2014: In order to celebrate our 15th anniversary and contribute to helping disabled people, we organized a lunch in Nişantaşı Nopa Restaurant that was free of charge. The meeting was held by the TESYEV Administrative board, Siren Ertan Çarmıklı, Renee Saban and other TESYEV volunteers. Numerous well-known people from Istanbul, who have dedicated themselves to charity work, also joined the lunch. After the meal, the participants made donations to our foundation. 

6th December 2014: On Saturday, The Turkish National Paralympics Committee’s General Meeting took place in the ball room of Surmeli Hotels & Resorts. At the General Meeting in which 71 members participated, the results of the elections for the board of directors, auditing team and disciplinary committee were announced. Our president A.Yavuz Kocaömer was once again chosen as our president.

16th December 2014: In order to fulfill the needs of disabled individuals, our foundation TESYEV prepared an album named ‘The Big Picture’. The album consisted of 14 stories and 1 song that are vocalized by 38 famous artists.

Endorsements have been made for our disabled individuals who need help and federated sports clubs in line with their requirements.

Wreath acceptance work that we started for your happy and sorrowful days is still on progress. 

Our Chairman A. Yavuz KOCAÖMER continues to support disabled individuals with his opinion columns in the “Çengelli İğne” column of Posta Newspaper every Monday, and Sports Section of Milliyet Newspaper every Sunday.
