Murat Aksu, a Lawyer with a PhD degree, was born in Diyarbakır on 24 July 1969. He completed his secondary education at İzmir Fen Lisesi. Graduated from the Law Department of the University of Ankara, Aksu completed his masters degree of education at Oklahoma City University. Murat Aksu then went on to obtain his PhD degree from the Administrative Sciences department of the Business Administrative School of the University of İstanbul. Murat Aksu, PhD, worked as a Research Associate at the Business Administration School of the University of Istanbul between the years 1990 and 1999, followed by a staff membership at the Social Sciences Institute of the University of Marmara. Murat Aksu, PhD, is the founder of ASC Hukuk. Murat Aksu has an experience of more than 30 years in sports management, which started with his membership in the External Relations Board at Turkish Boxing Federation in 1990. This was respectively followed by his legal advisory and Board Membership of the Turkish Boxing Federation in 1994, Board Membership of the Turkish Skiing Federation and Membership of the External Relations Board of Turkish Football Federation in 1996, Board Membership of the Turkish Football Federation in 2000, Vice-Chairmanship of Beşiktaş Jymnastics Club in 2004, and Vice-Chairmanship of the Turkish National Paralympics Committee as of 2014. Married and the father of three kids, Murat Aksu still continues to serve as the Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Football Federation. He became the Chairman of the Turkish National Paralympics Committee in December 2022, and the Chairman of Sports, Aid and Education Foundation of Turkey for People with Disabilities (TESYEV) in January 2023.
