Within the scope of the endorsement deal that signed under the participation of Sait Kayahan, General Manager of Bilyoner.com, and A. Yavuz Kocaömer, Chairman of our Foundation TESYEV, Bilyoner.com, who started a new project with our Foundation, sponsored 11 handicapped sportsmen.
March 02, 2013: On Saturday, in the “O Ses Türkiye” TV show presented by Acun Ilıcalı, a Member of our Board of Trustees, and telecasted on Star TV, the fourth “Let’s Overcome the Obstacles” campaign was held. All income from the esteemed donators of that program, which is coordinated for benefit of our Foundation TESYEV, is still used for needs of our handicapped people.
March 19, 2013: 14th establishment anniversary of our Foundation was celebrated with a refulgent ball at the Four Seasons Hotel of İstanbul at Bosphorus on Tuesday night. Our Members of Board of Trustees, right along with an invitee community over 450 people from sports, culture, art and business world attended to the ball. In the event, donations for wheelchair, scholarship and health expenses were received. In the night that Ebru GÜNDEŞ took the stage, also some celebrities had performed a duet with the popular singer.
March 21, 2013: 22nd Board of Trustees Meeting was held in The Plaza Hotel - Vega Saloon in accordance with the Articles of Foundation which states that Board of Trustees Meeting must be conducted in every March annually.
April 12, 2013: In the context of “Supporting the Children In Need of Special Care and Parents Project”, “Collaboration and Assistance Protocol” was signed in Friday between our Foundation TESYEV and General Directorate of Security for the handicapped children of the members of Law Enforcement Agency. The collaboration protocol for supporting 2 thousand 78 handicapped children of law enforcement personnel in educational and social fields was signed by our Chairman A. Yavuz Kocaömer and Director General of Public Security Mehmet Kılıçlar in a ceremony conducted in the Department of Communication Hall.
March 4, 2013: 8th TESYEV Scholarship Holders Meeting was held in The Green Park Hotel-Pendik on Saturday. Approximately 400 handicapped high school and university student were attended to the meeting in which scholarship holders from outside of Istanbul were accommodated for a night. In the meeting, our Chairman A. Yavuz Kocaömer, General Manager Berrin Altınöz and a Member of the Board of Trustees Ali Evren Doğru punctiliously gave ear to the issues and troubles of our high school and university students, and promised an endeavor to search a solution.
Employees of Güreli Certified Councillorship and Independent Auditing Services A.Ş. (Inc.), whose Chairman is a member of our Board of Trustees Atty. A. Hüsnü Güreli, participated in the 2013 Istanbul Corporate Games Dragon Boat races as the BAKER TILLY GÜRELİ team and sportsmen raced wearing a TESYEV t-shirt. The Corporate Games races that Turkey’s biggest 36 firm participated spreads the sportive competition, excitement and entertainment throughout the business world, thus lend a different impetus. BAKER TILLY GÜRELİ team have won a huge success and awarded medals in 4 different categories.
May 31, 2013: Our Foundation supported 47 physically handicapped sport club in basketball branch by giving them 106 sports wheelchair in a ceremony took place in Ankara University Cebeci Sports Hall. Our Foundation Chairman and Chairman of Turkey National Paralympic Committee A. Yavuz Kocaömer, TBESF Chairman Demirhan Şerefhan, Weightlifting Federation Chairman Tamer Taşpınar, Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs of General Directorate of Sports Salman Malkoç, General Directorate of Security Head of Department of Social Affairs Hüseyin Alsancak has attended to the ceremony
June 18 - August 28, 2013: With the collaboration of our Foundation TESYEV and Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry General Directorate of Youth Services, 8th Kuşadası Summer Camp was realized. In the camp; social and sports activities, events such as theatre, handicrafts, folk dances, music and such were conducted. To the camp; Selçuklu Konevi Private Education Vocational High school Sports Club, Turgut Özal, İ.Ö.O. and İş Okulu Sports Club, Zeynep Mustafa Han Education Implementing School Youth and Sports Club students were attended.
September 16, 2013: Beşiktaş Municipality actualized another result of the efforts of creating a “Beşiktaş without Obstacles”. Beşiktaş Kültür District, named the park in Sekbanlar Street after our Chairman A. Yavuz KOCAÖMER, who is devoted his life to the handicapped. Honorary President of our Foundation İ. Cahit Kocaömer, Beşiktaş RMK Marine Wheelchair Basketball Team, Galatasaray Wheelchair Basketball Team, our Board of Management and Board of Trustees right along with our donators, many handicapped individuals and Foundations friends attended to the opening at 11:00. “A. Yavuz Kocaömer the Handicapped Park” offers basketball court, open-air fitness area, library and restroom services to all handicapped.
September 20, 2013: On Friday, handicapped children that receive scholarship and rehabilitation and their parents were gathered for the uplifting picnic conducted by Tarabya Ted Ankara Kolejliler Derneği. A total of 300 people consisted of handicapped scholarship holders, receivers of rehabilitation support and their parents were attended to the picnic. Also TESYEV volunteers, right along with the Board of Management of our Foundation supported and attended to the picnic. Our children had a great time with animators, various demonstrations and games.
September 24, Tuesday: Our Foundation’s traditional dining was made in the distinguished, popular Sunset Grill&Bar with an amazing view of Istanbul. Member of TESYEV Board of Management Siren Ertan Çarmıklı, Member of Board of Management Renee Saban, and TESYEV volunteers Aslı Bayraktaroğlu, Başak Halaç, Begüm Özer, Berrin Okçu, Demet Şarlak Ozaner, Hande Sezer Pekcan, Hande Yüce, Hülya Eltemur, Pelin Akın, Sanem Tezman, and Zeynep Üstünel carried this organization. Distinguished protocol members and Istanbul’s many known faces who set their heart on social responsibility projects were attended to this special lunch. Our special guest for this year was a famous man of letters and a musician; Kürşat Başar. Barış Tansever, the Manager of Sunset Grill&Bar, once again did not demand any price as to contribute to this special organization in which the income will be used for the health and rehabilitation of the handicapped. For this purpose, donations were made by the participants to our Foundation.
November 5, 2013: The opening of ready-to-wear brand ADOMA’s special selection “Oh! By Kopenhagen” took place between 15:00 - 18:00 in Nişantaşı on Tuesday. Part of the sale’s income on the day of event was donated to our Turkey Handicapped Sports, Education and Assistance Foundation.
December 2, 2013: Our Chairman A. Yavuz Kocaömer attended as a speaker to the panel conducted between 13:30 and 15:30 by Ankara University Deanship of Faculty of Sport Sciences and Head Department of Health, Culture and Sports and gave information about handicapped sports under the title of “Paralympic Games and Paralympic Consciousness”. Demirhan Şerefhan, Chairman of TBESF, Gizem Girişmen, 2008 Paralympic Games Archery Champion and Ayhan Gülsoy, who ranked 3rd in Visually Handicapped Weightlifting were also attended as a speaker.
December 3, 2013: In the context of Supporting the Wife and Children In Need of Private Education, 3 December World Handicapped Day Event Program was held in the Necip Fazıl Theatre Hall and Foyer area in Gençlik Parkı Kültür Merkezi for the wife and children of the handicapped policemen reside in Ankara. Deputy Police Chief Dr. Muammer BUÇAK, our Turkey Handicapped Sports, Education and Assistance Foundation Chairman A. Yavuz KOCAÖMER, Heads of Departments, handicapped children and their parents were attended to the program in Gençlik Parkı Kültür Merkezi. In the program that conducted within the frame of an event, Handicapped Folk Dances, Magician Demonstrations, Music Recital and various activities took place.
December 11, 2013: “Ne Kadar Engelli Değiliz?” conference conducted by Anadolu University Handicapped Students Unit realized in Student Center Hall 2009 on Wednesday. Our Chairman A. Yavuz Kocaömer and our visually handicapped members of Board of Trustees Kerim & Selim Altınok brothers were attended to the conference. While standpoint towards the handicapped in Turkey told with examples from foreign countries, sports topics about the handicapped was also mentioned. The conference in which approximately 250 attendants including 34 scholarship holders from our Foundation TESYEV and students of Anadolu University, have come to an end with the Kerim and Selim Altınok brothers’ guitar, mandolin and singing performances.
