On March 15, 2009, on the television program “Var Mısın Yok Musun?” aired on Show TV and hosted by one of our trustees Acun Ilıcalı, the second “Engelleri Kaldıralım” campaign was initiated. The viewers showed their support by connecting online via telephone, sending short messages, and bank deposits. The income was used for the needs of the disabled, such as ortheses, protheses, operations, devices for the hearing impaired, rehabilitation, scholarships, computers etc.
On March 21, 2009, the “MGD Sosyal Sorumluluk Kampanyaları Başarı Ödülleri” of the “Magazin Gazetecileri Derneği”, which increase the life standards of the Turkish society and nurtures the sense of cooperation in the community, were given to those who were eligible recipients at the ceremony at the Zeytinburnu Olivium Outlet Center. The awards for the “Engelleri Kaldıralım” campaign were taken by Acun Ilıcalı, Nurcan Duman in behalf of Show TV, and Berrin Altınöz the General Manager of our foundation TESYEV.
On April 14, 2009, the project named “Sözün Bittiği Yer..” was introduced in the press conference organized in the Çırağan Palace. Zahid AKMAN, head of RTÜK, Dilara ENDİNCAN, the person in charge for Galatasaray Wheelchair Basketball (regional), İrfan ŞAHİN, general manager of Kanal D, and the Turkish National Paralympic Committee, and A. Yavuz Kocaömer, the head of the executive of our foundation (TESYEV) attended. 8 short films directed by 8 famous directors, starring many famous people of the business, art and sports world, were shown on TV channels. After the films telephone numbers and bank account numbers were shown for incoming donations.
On April 27, 2009, the premiere of the project “Sözün Bittiği Yer..” was organized in the Etiler Mustafa Kemal Kültür Merkezi.
On May 9, 2009, the disabled students who were given scholarships were invited to Istanbul. Their complaints and problems were listened to and solutions were tried to be found. Approximately 210 students atended in addition to Ali Evren Doğru, a member of our board of trustees who attended as speaker.
On May 12, 2009, Siren Ertan Çarmıklı, a member of our board of trustees, organized a spring dinner in Sunset Grill & Bar. The owner of the bar Barış Tansever requested that no money should be paid for the dinner. The total income was donated to our foundation.
On June 5, 2009, between 15.00 and 16.00, our President A. Yavuz Kocaömer, attended the radio program “İyilik Öncüleri” organized by Ahmet Bağbekleyen and Adnan Saygılı about the disabled on Cem Radyo. He answered questions about sports , education and other topics.
On June 13, 2009, a motivation picnic was organized in the residential area of the Naval Academy in Tuzla for the disabled children who have scholarships and are in the rehabilitation programs. Approximately 200 people attended.
Between 27th June-4th July 2009,as a result of cooperation between Tesyev and Turkish National Paralympic Committee,the 1st National International Paralympic Youth Summer Camp was organised at Marmaris-İçmeler.67 physically and blind sportsmen attended the camp from USA,Germany,South Korea,Holland,Kenya,Greece and Turkey.The camp`s purpose is to prepare 2012 London Paralympic Games.
On 26th September at Doğa Koleji Beykoz Campus a motivation dinner has been organised for students who get scholarship from "BilyonerInteraktif Hızmetler A.Ş" and members of Bilyoner.com
On 30th September the 5th Dr.Trawinski International Wheelchair Basketball Tournament press conference has been made at Ahmet Cömert Spors Hall.Head of the board of executives of Tesyev A.Yavuz KOCAÖMER,President of Turkish Phsyically Sport Federation Mustafa V.Gülpınar,City Manager of Youth and Sport Ömer GÜMÜŞ and Erikli Company officer Hasan İnce has attended the conference
On 30th 2009 President of Turkish National Paralympic Committee A.Yavuz Kocaömer has attended "D Fans" programme at D-smart 41st channell D-spor.The program presented by İnan Şefkatli and disabled sport problems have been discussed.
Between 1st and 4th October the 5th Dr.Trawinski International Wheelchair Basketball tournament which was organised by Tesyev and Turkish Physically Disabled Sport Federation.The tournament conducted in Ahmet Cömert Sports Hall and Turkey, Germany, South Korea, Spain and Sweden joined the tournament
On December 19, 2009, the ball for the tenth year of our foundation was organized in Çırağan Palace Kempinski. Over 400 people of the sports, politics, art and business world attended the night.
Help has been given to the disabled sportsmen and their clubs who are in need and will be given later on too.
The head of our executive board, A. Yavuz KOCAÖMER, supports the disabled with his columns in the newspapers of Posta and Milliyet.
